BCBUA Elections: Open for nomination

Please be advised that nominations are now being accepted for the positions of Vice-president and Secretary on the BCBUA Board of Directors. The President has appointed Earl Almeida, BCBUA Administrative Assistant, as the returning officer to receive all nominations for Vice-president (2-year term) and Secretary (2-year term). Elections will be held at the next annual general meeting this Fall, on a date still to be determined. Nominations for election to the Board to fill those positions must be received by the Returning Officer by September 1, 2026.

An incumbent occupying the offices of Vice-president and Secretary must indicate an intention to run for re-election in writing delivered to the Returning Officer by September 1, 2026. Nominations for election to those offices may be made from the floor only if a position will become vacant, there have been no nominations for such vacant position, and the incumbent has not declared an intention to run again for that position.

Nominations for Representatives of Areas 2, 4, 6, and 8 will be accepted at the AGM.
